Alexandra Adkins

Alexandra (Sasha) Adkins has held the Associate Principal Violin II position since the 1987-88 season. She is a native of Ukraine where she began her violin studies much too early at 5. Following her family’s move to the United States, she continued her violin studies in Cleveland, Cincinnati Conservatory and Bloomington, Indiana.

Alexandra is proud to play for her third Music Director at the DSO, and of her solo appearances with this fine orchestra.

Alexandra is married to DSO’s Principal Cello, Christopher Adkins, and they have 6 children.
