Kim-Lillian Strebel

British/Swiss soprano Kim-Lilian Strebel, born in London to a artistic Central European family, was trained at an early age as a dancer. Her singing talent was then discovered by the late Anthony Rolfe-Johnson. She is now an honour ARAM of the Royal Academy of Music. She then continued at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

As a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin (Junges Ensemble), Theater Freiburg and Theater Basel include the roles of Micaëla (Carmen), Fiordiligi (Così Fan Tutte), Adina (L´Elisir d´Amore), Euridice (Orfeo Ed Euridice), Angelica (Orlando) or First Lady (Die Zauberflöte).

In the recent past she made her Canada debut at Opéra de Montréal as Pamina in Mozart’s The Magic Flute.  She returned to sing Pamina, Musetta (La Bohème) and Gretel (Hansel and Gretel) under Donald Runnicles at the Deutsche Oper Berlin again as well as on Tour with the Komische Oper Berlin (Barrie Kosky’s production) in Australia/New Zealand/Taiwan/Macao/South Korea. She sang Marzelline in Beethoven’s Fidelio at Edinburgh Festival, Lydia Pawloska in Weinberger´s Spring Storms at the Komische Oper in Berlin, Mariya in a new production or Tschaikowsky‘s Mazeppa at the Staatstheater Cottbus, made her Austrian operatic debut in the main role of Martha in Martha by Flotow at Opera Graz and her Italien debut at the Festival della Valle D‘Itria.

Recent concert performances, include her guest appearances with Atlanta Symphony, Dallas Symphony, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Kammerorchester Basel, Mozarteum Orchester in Salzburg, La Orquesta Sinfonica Y Coro RTVE and Macedonian Philharmonic with works from Beethoven (Missa Solemnis), Mozart (Requiem) or Bach (Magnificat).
