DSO Diversity Fellowship

The DSO Diversity Fellowship is a 25 week, pre-professional training program for gifted early-career symphonic musicians who represent historically underrepresented populations. Participants play as members of the DSO and receive mentorship, mock audition and private instruction opportunities.

Ring Cycle

Beginning in May 2024, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Music Director Fabio Luisi (Louise W. & Edmund J. Kahn Music Directorship), will present an opera-in-concert version of Richard Wagner’s complete Der Ring des Nibelungen with internationally renowned singers. The Dallas Symphony is the first US orchestra to perform a full Ring cycle in concert in recent history.

Jeanne R. Johnson Education Center

Set to open in fall 2024, the Jeanne R. Education Center will be a 3,500 square foot innovative center at the Meyerson Symphony Center. Produced in cooperation with the Opera of the Future group at the MIT Media Lab, the Johnson Center will welcome thousands of children each year to engage in STEAM-based learning activities that focus on dynamic music education, utilizing cutting-edge technology.
