Hyorim Han

Violinist Hyorim Han joined the Dallas Symphony Orchestra in 2022.

Prior to joining the DSO, she regularly performed with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the New York Philharmonic, the St. Louis Symphony, and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra and took part in their domestic and international tours.

Hyorim is a versatile musician who has appeared on stage internationally across the United States, Europe and Asia as a soloist, a chamber musician, and an orchestral player.

Starting with her first solo appearance with the Daegu Philharmonic at age seven, she has appeared as a soloist with many orchestras, including the Seoul Philharmonic, the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the Chattanooga Symphony Orchestra, the Orquestra de Norte Portugal, the China National Symphony Orchestra, and the Curtis Chamber Orchestra.

As a passionate chamber musician, she received the Bronze Medal Award from the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition with her quartet, the Evita String Quartet, and has performed in the John. F Kennedy Center, the Rackham Auditorium, the Banff Center, the International Music Seminar at Prussia Cove, the Detroit Chamber Music Society, and the Detroit Chamber Winds and Strings among others. In addition, her recent summer festival appearances include engagement at the Bravo! Vail Music Festival, the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, the Spoleto Music Festival USA, the Aspen Music Festival, the Pacific Music Festival, and the Taos School of Music. In the summer of 2016, she served as the concertmaster at the Schleswig–Holestein Music Festival, under baton of Christoph Eschenbach and Vladimir Jurowski.

As a former student of Aaron Rosand and Victor Danchenko, she has received her Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music and her Master of Music degree from the Juilliard School of Music studying under the tutelage of Sylvia Rosenberg and Ida Kavafian. She received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree at the University of Michigan under the tutelage of David Halen.
